5 minute Friday; Catch

Standard

Around here we write for five minutes flat on Fridays.
We write because we want to, not because we have to. We write for fun, for joy, for discovery.
We just write without worrying if it’s just right or not.
Won’t you join us?

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Visit the Gypsy mama and Link back there and invite others to join in.
3. Go a little overboard encouraging the writer who linked up before you.
OK, are you ready? Give us your best five minutes:

Catch:

Oh to catch just 5 minutes to write this morning. What.a.joy.
I feel like I haven’t written in forever…..oh wait! I haven’t (minus a couple of book reviews)
This month has been so chaotic, so busy, so relentless….so to catch just 5 minutes….
I have caught or witnessed catching many things recently:
We’ve caught a cold
Watch the boys catch a football
Got caught in plenty a fundraisers
Caught lip from a reluctant homeschooler
and really….caught some strife from the enemy
it has been a busy, non-stop schedule!

I’m running, and running, and running…..and I can’t seem to catch up, and I’m tired….

{Jeremiah 12:5} “If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?

I have longed to just catch a little time with some friends,
Some more time to pray
Clean
Listen
Play
Read
Write
Oh, just to catch a little rest in my Jesus.
Perhaps I would just like to catch a good nights rest.
But I’m catching on, and this season too shall pass.
Hope to catch ya later!
Stop!
