God’s Christmas Promise {A DaySpring recordable StoryBook review…and Givaway}

Standard
I have been Blessed again with being able to review a book. (I love this..)

Here’s the deal~e~o….

They give me a book…for free, all I have to do, is give them my opinion of the product…pretty sweet eh?
(so, to clarify…these are MY opinions, not theirs. Ok, that’s covered…..movin’ on)
What’s even sweeter???…..They are also allowing me to Bless one of my fabulous readers with one too…and YOU don’t even have to blog about it…;) {details for THAT will be at the end….}

This time it was a recordable storybook from DaySpring Offered by InSpired Deals (you can also click the banner above to check them out)

I received……
God’s Christmas Promise.
I have never had any experience with recordable story books, so I especially thought this one would be cool! I guess it was a little awkward trying to get into the Christmas spirit so soon…but hey, truly we should ALWAYS be in the Christmas Spirit…right?
As soon as I received it, I was super excited, and tore it open like a child on Christmas morning!!!! (oh wait, didn’t I say it was to early to get into the spirit?) The book was actually pre-recorded, and seemed to have a mind of it’s own. The reading would be from a different page, it would start/stop reading when it wasn’t suppose to….{don’t worry; the review gets better)
After I was able to sit down with it, read through it and record myself reading it, most of those glitches seemed to resolve. However, the pages are censored with little holes, so you do have to be careful with page placement when reading. I would suggest smaller children be supervised (although, they likely won’t be able to read, and therefore wouldn’t know the wrong page was being read to them…haha)
This book would be Super Awesome for distant friends, and families. Or even close by ones…..it’s just plain cool!

But for this house, it was me and the 9 year old….
He was quite intrigued by this book (although at first, he was trying to play it off as “too cool” to embrace it)

hmmm....what do we have here?

 I asked Him did he want to record it himself…….he politely declined for tonight, but only after informing me that the recorded version of me doesn’t do my voice justice…..such a sweet boy he is.

After finishing the book, I left the room.

Returned about 10 minutes later to this scene…….

A great addition to this review….
while I was preparing this post (and stressing that my pics wouldn’t upload) my 16 year old found it rather “sweeeet dude” that I could record myself in it…:) Maybe I’ll get HIM to record it!
