Well, Hello there faithful friend…

Standard

Oh my, I feel as if it has been so long since I’ve written, now that I sit here to type, I don’t have words to say.
In my recent adventures, I thought that it would be a great idea to take an English class in an effort to become a better writer. What I didn’t realize was that it was equivalent to suicide to take an English course in a Spring semester. It is 15 weeks of writing work, crammed into a 6 week semester. It may seem silly, but I honestly felt like I was completely consumed by this class. Did I learn anything? Sure, I think so. Was it worth it? Absolutely!!! You see, my entire life I have been a below average/average student, and I got an A!!! {insert whoooot}

And then…….on to the planning of the graduation celebration, Not just one, but two of our boys graduated High School this year. And well, around here…that’s a pretty stinkin’ big deal!!!

Class of 2012!!!

Here they are at our church’s Graduate service….

With party planning in full swing, life was just absolutely chaotic.
But their Celebration was so much fun. We had a full taco bar, and lots of other mexican type foods. I made the cake all by myself and it actually turned out half decent! (tasted good too) Complete with a RootBeer keg and an outdoor gaming system….and most importantly….

an Airsoft war!!!! The boys scattered the entire back lot with their Dad’s junk treasures, creating an ever so cool obstacle course.

Of course things were dropped from the list as the day went on to putting the party together…such as the pool table we were going to bring out, oh…and decorations. No decorations…..but I guess with a ton of teenage boys, all you have to worry about is food and guns….lol!

My boys are changing our generation curses. They are making new paths for the generations to come.

and this mama couldn’t be more proud!

For I know the plans that I have for you; Declares the Lord; plans for welfare and not calamity to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 NASB

Yes, Summer is slipping away before me. I am hopeful to slow it down, embrace the warmth, sit aside the camp fire soon.

So thank you dear friends . Thank you for sticking with me through my many seasons of silence here. God is good, and He is working!

Has your summer been rushing by? What busy-ness have you had going on?

  1. Congratulations to your graduates and the whole family that guided them along the way! Woohoo! on your excellent grade and more importantly, on how the Lord will use that instruction to fine-tune His gifts to you.

    Thanks for joining our link-up.

  2. Great pictures of your boys! They look so serious in their cap and gowns. I love how much you put in to that graduation party. It is such a big day and you did a great job of making it special.
