Life is a passion of mine. I do not doubt for one.single.minute that any one of us are here on accident.  I have and will remain dedicated to the sanctity of human life.

God has plans, He has purpose….His word says so….

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to

prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11

I’ve been there, pregnant at the age 14, 2 absent drug addicted parents, and miscarried. I was devastated! I didn’t even know it was ok to grieve for my unborn child. The only way a 14 yr old with no guidance knows to remedy an empty womb, is to refill it; and that is exactly what I did. and that boy that promised he would be with me and my baby forever:

Found a new girlfriend!

And there I was now 15, alone, pregnant, no parents, no boyfriend, and no God (because I didn’t know Him)………

I Thank God every. single. day that destroying that precious life inside me was never even a consideration.

Thank God for being God!

For the last 18 years, I have worked along side that same mentor that guided me through pregnancy, motherhood, and most importantly…Salvation! Although there have been many others sent by God, Brenda was so very pivotal in loving me, supporting me, encouraging me……even still to this very day!

I have shared the hopes and dreams with her for the last 13 years to bring New Beginnings Mercy House full circle.

A Christ Centered crisis pregnancy center that teaches these woman that there really is Life after Life.

I also want to share a few links, resources, blogs, videos, and whatever else here.

I hope that no matter your circumstance;

~Pregnant and looking for answers

~Aborted and looking for hope

~Passionate and looking for opportunity

You can find something here.

First I’d like to share a few links:

Sarah Mae shares her heart wrenching story of abortion and Gods redemption over here at Like a Warm Cup of Coffee (the 30 minute video at the end of her post is a MUST SEE, I would post it here myself…but figure you can just watch it there)

Here too is a gal Kelly Clinger, who hits home by stating that America can’t handle the truth about abortion. You can find a piece of her story here.

My sweet cyber friend Latoya also shares her story of Gods Grace through our messes in a 3 part series.

A while back, due to some of the search terms on my blog, I felt God leading me to approach the subject of Life…You can read about that one here.

You can also read about a friendly debate about Alternatives I encountered while manning a “Right to Life” booth

There is also this sweet story of Nicole;  a previous Mercy House client who decided to keep her baby boy after meeting with Brenda. You can read her story here.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

Psalms 139:13

and I would love for you to watch this video by Casting Crowns (grab a tissue)

    • While it is ideal for a Mother to keep and raise her own child in a loving home, and that SHOULD be the goal for all those wnorikg with pregnant Moms in uncertain circumstances, there are situations where the best possible thing is for the child to be adopted. I think that in some situations, the best thing a parent can do for their child is give them up for adoption. Some people just can’t and shouldn’t parent, and for those who recognize that but still love their baby, adoption can be the answer.I keep reading posts here where people seem to think that these situation don’t exist. That surprises me. Of course there are many situations where birthmoms are pressured and the system is broken in many ways. But sometimes the system does work it’s all about the people wnorikg that system. When I adopt, I want to know that the Mom who gave birth to my child was provided and made aware of all the available resources to care for her child on her own. I would only be comfortable in a adoption where I could feel assured that the Mom is doing what she believes to be the best possible loving thing she can do for her baby. I want her to want me to care for the child. Is this too naive to want? I don’t think so.
